Bobby Lee Ambrose age 90 of Gladeville, passed away January 6th 2026.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Nell Ambrose; newborn baby, Bobby Lee Jr.; brother Jack Ambrose; sister, Linda Ambrose; son, Donald Groton.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Virginia Ambrose; children Boyd (Leah) Ambrose, Rita Cook, Thomas Ambrose, Tracey (Keith) Cook, Troy Groton, Derek (Linda) Groton, Shawn (Angela) Groton; grandchildren, Michael Ambrose, Joleen Ambrose, Jake Ambrose, Jacob Foard, Virginia (Ginger) Johnson, Jennifer (Kelly) Skeen, Bobby Lee (Lindsey) Ambrose, Thomas Ambrose Jr., Tyler Lester, Dillon Cook, Forest “Kane” Cook, Mathew (Wendy) Scott, Kristina (Aaron) Tucker, Justin Groton, Steven (McKenzie) Mackey, Stephanie Groton, Sara Groton, Delanie Porter, Chandler Porter, 12 great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Ambrose Kirk and many other loving family members.
Bobby was a retired (20 years) Chief Petty Officer in the Navy, 20 years Dock Supervisor at PIE, and 20 years as a band equipment driver for Charlie Daniels. He was an avid fisherman who found great enjoyment spending time outdoors and in his shop, where he loved to tinker and work with his hands. He especially enjoyed searching for arrowheads and restoring old rods and reels, taking pride in bringing them back to life. Bobby loved his family deeply and was loved by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed.
