Betty Bradford passed away Friday, December 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mattie Lou Wilkes; husband, James Turner Braford; brother-in-law, Bill Hawkins.
Survived by daughter; Gail (Steve) Burnette, grandchildren, Stephanie (George) Neal, Brandon (Rachel) Burnette, JP (Traci) Wietrick, great grandchildren, Ora and, Helen Neal, Luke Wietrick; daughter, Tawana (Doug) Flatt, grandchildren Tamara (Jeremy) Smartt, James (Beverly) Flatt, great grandchildren, Tatum and, Kipton Browning, Jacob (Cierra) Smartt, and Allie (Yanni) Pateritas, great great grandchildren, Adrienne, Adaline, Rosemary, and Blake Pateritas, and Katherine Cassidy Flatt (due in March); daughter, Lynn (Tim) Everett, grandchildren, Loree (Josh) Eaker, Christy Everett, JT Everett, Kaitlyn (Mason) Dunlap, Michaela Everett, Joey Everett, April Everett, Lizzy Everett, David Everett, Issac Everett, and Zackary McElhiney, great grandchildren, Lilly, Tessa, and Ben Eaker, and Levi Dunlap; son, Jim (Dawn) Bradford, grandchildren, Hannah Bradford, Holden (Emily) Richmond, Brant (Shelby) Richmond, great grandchildren, Winston, Scarlett, Goldie, Emmie, and Adley Richmond; sister, Eva Hawkins.
Betty loved gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, and reading her bible. She loved getting together with all of her family and friends. She was a very devoted Christian, wife, mama, and mammy. Betty and Turner worked very closely with the Gideons Ministries. Betty will be missed by all whom loved and knew her.
The family would like to express a special Thank you to Gentiva Hospice, for the loving and care they gave to Betty.
Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2026 at Sellars Funeral Home Mt. Juliet from 4:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 10:00am-12:00pm, with funeral services at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Burnette, James Flatt, JT Everett, Joey Everett, David Everett, and Issac Everett.
Honorary pallbearers Kipton Browning, JP Wietrick, Brant and Holden Richmond.
