Bessie Ann Davis, age 75, passed away on September 1, 2025.
Bessie Ann Lackey Davis was born in Lebanon TN to Emma Lucille Shelton Lackey and Earl Lackey. Bessie Ann married Robert Davis at the age of 15 and they made a good life together. She loved making a wonderful home for her family and she did just that. Bessie Ann was a terrific cook and her love language was giving.
She worked at Lebanon Woolen Mills and then Toshiba for 25 years but she always had time for her family. Her grandchildren voted her the Best Granny ever because of the love she shared through spending time with them, including watching them play sports. Bessie Ann attended and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for more than thirty years.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Davis; children: Robert Donald (Katy) Davis Jr., Anthony Allen (Margie) Davis, and Tracy Jean (Chris) Dowell; grandchildren: Holly LeAnn (Liam) Cunningham, Trevor Glen (Kacey) Davis, Jessica Ayla (Trevin) Potter, Allison Logan (Kyle) Shepherd, Coleby Drake (Noemi) Dowell, and Colton Davis (Shayla) Dowell; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Emma and Monk Lackey, her closest brother “Dinky” Anthony Allen, and three other brothers and one sister.
