It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annette “Middlebrooks” Keck, a beloved seamstress, devoted family woman, and cherished member of the community. Annette peacefully left us on February 6, 2025, leaving a legacy of love and warmth.

Born with a passion for sewing, Annette turned her talent into a thriving business, “Keckies”, where she lovingly crafted countless garments for family and friends. Her meticulous attention to detail and creative spirit made her a treasured seamstress in the community. Annette’s love for her craft was matched only by her devotion to her family. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs and happiness above her own.

Mornings were especially dear to Annette and her children as she prepared her famous biscuits and blackberries, which became a beloved staple in their kitchen. Annette was also known for her refreshing personality and her unwavering love for Coca-Cola, which she enjoyed far more than water-a testament to her zest for life. A special place in Annette’s heart was Posey Hill, where she found solace and joy. This cherished location was a reflection of her spirit, where she created beautiful memories that will live on in the hearts of her family.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Brooks Barnhill and Evelyn Marie Tomlin; and Howard Middlebrooks. She is survived by the original Bill Keck; her loving children, Donna (Roger) Danko, Willie Keck, Douglas (Katrinka) Keck, Ben (Kate) Keck, Lisa Keck, and Erica (Neftali) Ochoa; her grandchildren, Matthew, Haley, Ethan, Spencer, Joseph, Brandon, Austin, Blake, Raquel, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Edrei, Micael, Emily, and Eli; her great-grandchildren, Becca, River, Lucas, Malaki, Carson, Bentley, and Hayden. In addition, her siblings, Edna, Robert Jr, DJ, Thomas, Sharon, Frankie, Dink, Johnny, Marvin, Paul, and Wanda, and a plethora of friends whose lives she touched deeply. Her legacy of love and creativity will forever be felt and remembered.

Visitation for Annette will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 4:00 P.M until 6:00 P.M at Sellars Funeral Home in Mount Juliet. Rest in peace, Annette. You will be missed but never forgotten.
