A routine traffic stop in Mt. Juliet led to an arrest—and an unexpected act of customer service.

According to Mt. Juliet Police, an officer stopped a vehicle on Devonshire Drive after discovering it had suspended registration. During the stop, the driver, a 25-year-old man from Nashville, was found to have an outstanding warrant for failure to be booked.

Police say the driver was in the middle of delivering a food order at the time of the stop, with a meal headed to a nearby home. After taking the suspect into custody, the officer ensured the delivery was still completed for the waiting family.
