Mt. Juliet officials are reminding residents that vegetative debris collection is ongoing as crews continue working through storm cleanup across the city.
Public Works crews say residents may continue placing vegetative debris along city roadways for pickup, noting that collection will take time due to the large volume of debris citywide. Officials thanked residents for their patience as crews work safely and efficiently.
Accepted debris includes tree limbs, branches, and trunks only. Residents are asked to place debris within 10 feet of the roadway while keeping it out of the road. Limbs and trunks should be cut to 15 feet or less, and any material over 10 inches in diameter must be cut into 3-foot sections. Vines and loose leaves are not accepted.
Officials also reminded residents to keep debris at least 10 feet away from utility boxes and fire hydrants, avoid placing debris under power lines or tree canopies, keep sidewalks clear, and avoid parking in front of debris piles.
