City leaders and community members gathered to welcome a new addition to the local arts scene as Lamppost Theatrical Arts Company officially opened its doors.
The City of Mt. Juliet marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Lamppost Theatrical Arts Company, celebrating the launch of the creative space at 15321 Lebanon Road in Old Hickory.
The theater company said it aims to bring fun, family-friendly stories to life while creating opportunities for the community to connect through live performance. Organizers described the new venue as a place focused on storytelling, imagination, and entertainment for audiences of all ages.
The company’s next production is scheduled to open April 10, with performances planned throughout the month. Show dates include:
- Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, April 11 at 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 12 at 2:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m.
- Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, April 25 at 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 26 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are expected to be available online in March.
City officials said they are excited to see the new theater grow and provide memorable experiences for families across the community.
