MJPD Seize Guns, Drugs in Two Separate Traffic Stops

March 24, 2025 – Mt. Juliet officers made two significant traffic stops this afternoon, uncovering illegal firearms and drugs.

In the first incident, an officer pulled over a vehicle on I-40 East for speeding—clocked at 90 mph in a 70 mph zone. The driver, a 16-year-old from Lebanon, was found in possession of two Glock handguns with extended magazines. One of the firearms had been reported stolen during a robbery in Wayne County on December 24, 2024.

In a separate stop, another officer noticed a vehicle with the wrong license plate traveling on Mt. Juliet Road toward I-40 West. The driver, a 33-year-old convicted felon from Nashville, was found with three firearms and drugs. He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule VI Drug for Resale, Drug Paraphernalia, three counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felon), and three counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
