Man Accused of Selling Drugs out of Lebanon Motel

February 9, 2024 – Lebanon Officers received information from a reliable source that an individual was selling drugs out of room 8 at Southland Motel on Thursday.

Units performed a knock and talk and made contact with Mr. Desmond Phillips. Upon approaching the unit, the odor of marijuana was also noticed emitting from the room.

Upon being allowed entry, a protective security sweep was performed of the room, and at that time, multiple baggies of drugs were observed in plain view. Continuing with the investigation, flex officers were given consent to search the entire room.

Officers then located approximately 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, .5 grams of fentanyl, and 3.5 grams of marijuana, digital scales, packaging materials, and $265.00 in currency. All of these items were seized, and Mr. Phillips is being charged by K-9 Officer Parish with possession for resale of schedule I, II, and VI, drug paraphernalia, and violation of bond conditions on domestic assault for possession of controlled substances.
