A traffic stop turned into a big arrest Wednesday evening after a Mt. Juliet Police officer stopped a vehicle for an improper tag on Mt. Juliet Road near Old Pleasant Grove Road.

The vehicle had been reported stolen over two years ago in California. The driver, a 61-year-old woman with a revoked California license, was wanted out of Carroll County, TN since 2021 on a nationwide extradition for multiple serious charges, including two counts of felony reckless endangerment, aggravated child abuse, false reports, evading arrest with risk of death, and driving while license revoked (2nd offense).

The passenger, a 45-year-old man with a California address, was found in possession of methamphetamine.

They had been riding around in a stolen car for over two years without detection—until today.
