A technology alert helped Lebanon police quickly locate and arrest a man wanted on numerous charges across multiple counties.

Officers were notified by the department’s license plate reader system about a vehicle linked to a burglary suspect out of Metro Nashville. A patrol officer soon spotted the vehicle entering Interstate 40 from Highway 109 and conducted a traffic stop.

Police identified the driver as a 38-year-old Smyrna man who was wanted on multiple warrants, including 10 counts of burglary and one count of criminal impersonation in Nashville. Authorities also confirmed he had additional warrants tied to a felony probation violation and failure to appear in a drug-related case.

During the stop, officers identified a passenger, a 46-year-old Smyrna woman, who was also found to have an active probation violation warrant out of Wilson County related to drug charges.
