June 16, 2025 – Lebanon Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a package theft that occurred on June 3 in the Woodbridge Glen neighborhood.

The incident, dubbed a “porch pirate” theft, was caught on surveillance footage. The department shared a lighthearted message on social media, noting the suspect is unlikely to win any awards for best pirate costume—but emphasized the seriousness of the crime.

Anyone with information that could help identify the individual is urged to contact Lebanon Police dispatch at 615-444-2323.

In response to the incident, police offered several tips to help residents prevent similar thefts:

* Sign up for delivery notifications and real-time tracking.
* Choose delivery times that align with your availability when possible.
* Ask drivers to leave packages in less visible areas.
* Use visible security cameras as a deterrent and source of evidence.
* Install a secure, weatherproof lockbox for deliveries.
* If you’re not home, consider asking a trusted neighbor to retrieve your package.

The investigation remains ongoing.
