Lebanon Police Officer Promoted to C-Detail Corporal

Lebanon Police Department has announced the promotion of Josh Brownlee to C-Detail Corporal.

Josh was born in Nashville and has been a lifelong resident of Lebanon. He is a 1996 graduate of Lebanon High School. After high school he attended Volunteer State Community College to seek a degree in criminal justice. He began his law enforcement career as a Police Officer with the Watertown Police Department in 1997, later completing basic police school at Walter’s State Police Academy in 1998. He went on to serve at the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office from 1999-2013, serving there as both a Deputy, and Corporal / FTO.

Later that year, he began service with LPD where he has served in the patrol division as a Police Officer, Field Training Officer, and MPO. In 2015 he began service on the Traffic Unit. He has completed numerous traffic related courses including accident reconstruction training. As a Traffic Officer he’s served as an accident reconstructionist since 2018. Additionally, he serves as an instructor in Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC), and Radar and LIDAR operation. He’s completed hundreds of hours of training over his career which has included several specialized schools.

“We are confident that he will be successful in his new position and look forward to him working with our members to help lead our agency,” LPD stated.
