Lebanon Police Department has announced the promotion of Jonathan Passman to C-Detail Corporal.
Jonathan was born in Jacksonville, Florida but grew up in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee after his parents moved to the area while he was a child. He went on to graduate from Mt. Juliet High School in 2013. After High School he attended Tennessee Tech University from 2013 – 2016, seeking a degree in sociology with a concentration in criminal justice.
Jonathan joined the U.S. Army in 2016 where he served until 2021. During his five (5) years of military service he achieved the rank of Sergeant (E-5). In 2019 he was deployed to Iraq for nine (9) months. He also received several commendations and awards during his service.
He began his law enforcement career with our Department as a Police Officer in 2021. He completed the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy that same year. He has served with the Lebanon Police Department in the Patrol Division as a Police Officer, and Field Training Officer.
“We are confident that he will be successful in his new position and look forward to him working with our members to help lead our agency,” Lebanon Police said.”
He also serves on the SWAT Team and Honor Guard Team. He’s completed hundreds of hours of training during his tenure. He also received supervision and leadership training while in the military.
