Lebanon Police Department Promotes Sergeant to CID Lieutenant

Lebanon Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) detective sergeant, Eugene McGee, has been promoted to CID Lieutenant.

Eugene is a native of Lebanon, TN and a 1992 graduate of Lebanon High School. Soon after High School he attended Middle Tennessee State University where he earned his bachelor of science degree in criminal justice in 1997. He started his career in law enforcement at the LaVergne Police Department in 1998 where he served for four years. During his time with LaVergne Police Department he graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. He also served on their SWAT team for three years.

He began employment with the Lebanon Police Department in 2002. He has served in the patrol division as both a patrol officer and corporal until being promoted to detective in the CID division in 2005. He served in that role until 2020 when he was promoted to CID detective sergeant.

Additionally, Eugene also serves as a firearms instructor and as a member of the SWAT Team which he has served on since 2002. Throughout his career he’s investigated and overseen thousands of minor and major crimes. He’s also completed thousands of hours of training over his career which has included several specialized schools.
