On June 25, 2023, Lebanon Police Department announced the promotion of Jim Stroud to B-Detail Sergeant.
Jim was born in Saint Louis, Missouri and later moved with his family to Lebanon, TN as a young child. He is a 1989 graduate of Lebanon High School. After high school he attended the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) to pursue a degree in business.
He started his career in law enforcement with the Lebanon Police Department in 2002. He later graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy that same year. During his career with LPD, he has served in the patrol division as a Police Officer, Field Training Officer, and Corporal. He also previously served as a DUI Instructor.
He’s completed hundreds of hours of training over his career which has included several specialized schools. As a testament to his service, he has received several awards during his career in recognition of exemplary performance.
“We are confident that he will be successful in his new position and look forward to him working with our members to help lead our agency,” Lebanon Police Department said.
