The Lebanon Police Department is proud to announce its 4th accreditation through the Tennessee Law Enforcement Accreditation (TLEA) Program. This distinction places Lebanon among a group of only 67 accredited agencies out of more than 500 across the state.
The TLEA accreditation is a voluntary process that ensures a department’s policies and procedures adhere to the highest professional standards, with the ultimate goal of benefiting the citizens we serve. This achievement highlights the department’s unwavering dedication to excellence, accountability, and the safety of our community.
“I believe being an accredited agency means each member of the Lebanon Police Department is devoted to providing professional services to every person and each day will continue to provide service and protection to all citizens and visitors of Lebanon, Tennessee,” stated Lebanon Police Chief Mike Justice.
Mark Gibson, President of the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP), added, “The Lebanon Police Department successfully accomplished TLEA accreditation by meeting criteria that measured the level of professionalism, organization, and overall readiness in law enforcement policy and procedures. “The standard of excellence that is met through this process is to be admired. We are proud to recognize the hard work of the Lebanon Police Department, its staff, and community leaders,”
Captain Brent Willet, who oversees our Administration Division, played a pivotal role in coordinating the efforts to secure our department’s reaccreditation. His dedication and hard work to both our department and our community is deeply appreciated.
