Lebanon Mayor Rick Bell has announced an extension for small business owners to apply for the city’s new Local Grant Initiative, with the application deadline now set for Friday, May 23, 2025.

The grant program, developed in collaboration with the City’s Industrial Development Board (IDB) and the Lebanon City Council, is designed to support the revitalization of commercial properties, especially in key areas such as the historic district, downtown, Main Street, and along Highways 231 North and South.

With additional funds allocated for economic development in the 2024–2025 fiscal year, the initiative aims to enhance the aesthetics of Lebanon’s Commercial District. These funds will be transferred to the IDB in June 2025 to begin awarding grants.

Mayor Bell emphasized the importance of thoughtful applications, stating that the proposals received will influence the scope of future grant funding. The IDB, chaired by Jessica Fain and comprised of eight local residents, will review applications and distribute funds based on merit.

Small business owners must submit their completed application forms and required materials by May 23. Proposals of any amount are welcome.
