Lebanon Fire Department’s B-Shift crews responded to a brush fire Wednesday at 1012 Jacquelin Drive that quickly spread due to high winds. Firefighters began an immediate attack on the area of origin, but the blaze expanded rapidly across an estimated 25 acres of heavy underbrush.

Additional assistance was requested from Wilson County Emergency Management Agency, which provided an engine company and brush truck for mutual aid.

Crews were able to contain the fire within 25 minutes and fully extinguish it within 45 minutes before addressing remaining hot spots. All units later returned to service.
