Although springtime is approaching, the Lebanon City Council approved additional salt supply and salt spreader on the first reading Tuesday evening, February 20, to help local roads in future winter weather events.
Commissioner of Public Services Jeff Baines tells says the city of Lebanon used six hundred tons of salt on the streets during the winter weather in January.
The new salt spreader will also help in reaching more roads throughout the city.
