The man in black, Johnny Cash, and his Dixie darling, June, are back and singing together on the Capitol Theatre Stage on February 11, 2023, sort of. Award winning International Tribute Artist Aaron Prociuk and acclaimed singer Ashley Robertson stylishly recreate the husband and wife’s best performances from the 1950s and 1960s. During the show, the duo charms audiences with playful interpretations that highlight their lives, love and music.

Showtime starts at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. General Admission tickets are $25.00, with seniors 60 and older being charged $19.00. Tickets can be purchased here for the crowd pleasing show.

Growing up in the country-side of East St. Paul, Manitoba, Canada, Prociuk was inspired by the movie “Walk the Line” at the age of 15. The movie led him to teach himself guitar.  While mastering the lead work of Cash’s original guitarist, Luther Perkins, he discovered he had a knack for singing Cash’s music. Now, backed by some of the best musicians in Nashville, Prociuck sings hits “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Wildwood Flower,” and “Jackson.” As a team, they sing songs like “Daddy Sang Bass.” The show ends with “Ring of Fire.”

“Our goal is to captivate the audience and bring them back to a time when Johnny Cash was a household name around the world,” states Prociuk on their Facebook page.

The show has been performed many places in Tennessee, including the Cash former home, Storyteller’s Hideaway Farm and Museum in Bon Aqua. This was the Cash’s escape from the world. The duo has even guest performed at the Johnny Cash Heritage Festival with members of the Cash family, including Johnny’s youngest sister Joanne Cash and Mark Alan Cash. They have also played with Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers at 3rd and Lindsley, and Johnny Cash’s legendary drummer WS Holland. Prociuk and Robertson have also played at the Country Music Hall of Fame, as well as many fundraisers and festivals.

A.R CASH was begun in 2013 by Procuik, and the show has received rave reviews ever since, wherever they go.  So, if you are a fan of Johnny Cash and June Carter, you don’t want to miss this.
