Gallatin Teen Arrested in Stolen Car in Mt. Juliet

January 23, 2025 – Mt. Juliet Police arrested a teen after they say he was in possession of a handgun and a ski mask and entered Mt. Juliet from Nashville in a stolen car. According to MJPD, the car was taken in a carjacking in South Nashville five days ago.

Once officers were alerted by license plate readers, they began efforts to intercept the car and initiate a pursuit prevention plan. A spike system was successfully deployed on Golden Bear Gateway near Curd Road as the suspect sped away, disabling the vehicle.

When the suspect fled on foot, officers acted swiftly, giving chase and apprehending the 17-year-old male from Gallatin.

No additional details have been released at this time.
