Former Wilson County School Board member Donnell Self was found guilty this week in connection with two separate indecent exposure incidents reported at businesses in Lebanon, according to WSMV.

According to court documents, the incidents occurred last year at Murphy’s gas station and B.J.’s Hot Chicken. Authorities said Self exposed himself to two female employees while placing an order at the restaurant.

In a separate incident, court records state Self entered the gas station with his pants unzipped during transactions.

Self was found guilty in both cases during a court appearance this week. Records show fines associated with the cases were waived, and he was placed on probation.

Self previously represented Zone 5 on the Wilson County School Board, which includes Wilson County Adult High School, Carroll-Oakland Elementary School, Lebanon High School and Tuckers Crossroads Elementary School. He was also listed as an ethics committee representative.

Self resigned from the school board following his arrest in December 2025 on indecent exposure charges.

As part of the court’s order, Self must comply with counseling recommendations, attend one 12-step meeting each week and avoid both the restaurant and gas station involved in the incidents.
