On February 18, the city of Mt. Juliet announced the grand opening of Tennessee’s first Tim Hortons, now serving customers at the Golden Bear Shell gas station at 2001 Golden Bear Gateway, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.

Owner Naren Patel credits his children for inspiring the idea to bring the beloved Canadian coffee shop to the state.

“I said, ‘Let’s plan.’ We planned Tim Hortons franchise right here—my first choice was Mt. Juliet,” Patel shared.

The city also revealed that another Tim Hortons location is on the way. According to Jennifer Hamblen of Mt. Juliet Planning & Zoning, a second store is set to open at Beckwith Station near Beckwith ER.

Tim Hortons, Canada’s largest restaurant chain, serves over 5 million cups of coffee daily. According to its website, the brand has become a cherished symbol of Canadian culture.
