The injured Mt. Juliet Fire Department firefighter who was quickly escorted to the hospital during Saturday’s Glass Creek Apartments fire has improved his condition to stable, with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Mt. Juliet Fire Department, he has been transitioned from an ICU to the burn unit. He has been active, walking and talking with family, friends, and coworkers by his side.’

“We are thankful that this recovery has progressed the way it has just four days since Saturday’s sustained injuries,” Fire Chief Mark Foulks said. “Please continue to keep our firefighter in your prayers and we thank you for the privacy given to him and his family.”
