Deputy Zachary Bandy was presented with the Medal of Valor by Commissioner Mike Kurtz, alongside his wife and Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan
Monday night, at the Wilson County Commission Meeting.
This prestigious recognition honors Deputy Bandy for his bravery and quick action during a multi-jurisdictional pursuit on November 22, 2022. While risking his life to protect the public and fellow officers, Deputy Bandy was shot in the line of duty. His courage, training, and decisive actions ensured the apprehension of a dangerous individual and safeguarded the lives of many.
