Construction Worker Dies After Jumping in Cumberland River

A construction worker’s body was recovered from the Cumberland River on Monday afternoon, WSMV reports.

According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, the male worker allegedly jumped into the river to cool off after he became hot while working at a nearby home on Misty Lake Drive.

Officials began searching for the man around 2 p.m.

The body was later recovered by the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency and Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency.

The victim’s identity has not been released.
