The square has reopened, and businesses can start returning to the square. South Cumberland at Gay Street and West Spring Street will still be shut down while crews clean up.

October 9, 2023, 9:58 AM – Lebanon Police Department and WEMA are working on an incident that caused lanes in the square to close Monday morning.
A chemical barrel at a nearby business caught fire. Emergency personnel evacuated the affected area.
LPD has secured a block radius while LFD and WEMA continue to work the scene.
