Update: Hendersonville Police Investigators have identified the subject found in the March 22, 2026, incident as 60-year-old Darrell Kirby. Current investigatory findings suggest that Mr. Kirby was working on a vessel at Sun Life Marina – Drakes Creek and fell into the water where he drowned. This case is still under investigation but there is no evidence to suggest foul play.
On March 22, 2026 around 9:30 a.m., the Hendersonville Police Department responded to a body discovered in Old Hickory Lake near Sun Life Marinas at Drakes Creek in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under active investigation. There has been no evidence discovered at this point to indicate foul play.
