Have you ever wondered what animals are living in your local state park — even when you can’t see them? Cedars of Lebanon State Park is giving curious nature lovers of all ages a chance to find out.
On Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., join Seasonal Interpretive Range (SIR) Sloane inside the Nature Center for Nature Detectives, a guided wildlife hike designed to help participants spot the clues animals leave behind. From tracks and trails to other telltale signs, you’ll learn how to read the landscape like a naturalist and discover who’s really calling the park home.
Along the way, the group will discuss what different types of animal signs can tell us — and how we can be thoughtful, responsible neighbors to the wildlife around us. The hike will take place along the ADA-accessible Cave Creek Trail, with frequent stops, and is expected to last about 45 minutes.
Best of all, the event is free and open to all ages, making it a great outing for families, curious kids, and nature enthusiasts alike.
