A potentially dangerous situation in Wilson County was resolved safely after a barricaded subject was taken into custody on Sparta Pike Wednesday afternoon.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, TN responded around 3:09 p.m. after a man called 911, reporting he had been stabbed in the neck and that the suspect had retreated inside a nearby residence. Deputies quickly secured the scene, and Sparta Pike was temporarily closed while the area was contained.
Special Response Team (SRT) members and negotiators were on standby as a precaution, with traffic diverted with the assistance of the Lebanon Police Department.
At 5:47 p.m., authorities confirmed the male subject involved in the incident was safely taken into custody, the roadway reopened, and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
