May 22, 2025 – On Tuesday night, officers responded to Upton Heights after receiving multiple calls from concerned citizens reporting hearing a gunshot in the neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject lying in front of the Lebanon Housing Authority Office with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Officers quickly rendered aid until the Lebanon Fire Department and Wilson County Emergency Management Agency arrived on scene. During this time, officers, along with a deputy from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, detained a suspect at the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Through their investigation, Lebanon detectives arrested and charged a 26-year-old Lebanon man with aggravated assault. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
