The City of Lebanon was presented with a check for $350,000 on Tuesday, February 4, at Don Fox Park, related to winning a Tennessee Office of Outdoor Recreation Grant to renovate portions of Don Fox Park.
This results from completing our first-ever City of Lebanon Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which includes parks throughout our city. The renovation would include converting the current wading pool into a splash pad.
Mayor Rick Bell, Director of the Jimmy Floyd Center Alex Major, and Lebanon Parks and Recreation Director William Porter accepted the grant on behalf of the City of Lebanon. Daniel Jackson, recreation consultant with the State of Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, presented the check.
