There is nothing like giving a gift that has been handmade by a local artist or artisan. Not only does it support the local community, but often these creatives use repurposed and vintage items that are healthier and much better for the environment than putting aged items into the dump. Here are three holiday markets featuring items made by local artists, artisans or sold by small home-based businesses. Several of these events are also raising money to support nonprofits.
