On February 22, 2023, a search warrant was executed at the Kwik-Sack Tobacco and Beer on East High St.
The search resulted in the seizure of 28 bottles of a Schedule 2 drug, Tianeptine, commonly known as Zaza. This synthetic drug is illegal in Tennessee.
In addition, nearly 400 individually packaged Legend Drugs were discovered.
Both items were found in a cabinet behind the counter and is alleged to being sold illegally, including to undercover operatives. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
