For the second Freeze Warning, sub- freezing temperatures of 21 to 28 degrees are expected area wide. * WHERE...All of Middle Tennessee. * WHEN...For the first Freeze Warning, from 3 AM to 9 AM CDT Tuesday. For the second Freeze Warning, from 10 PM Tuesday to 10 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A killing hard freeze is expected for the entire mid state region late Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
