A 57-year-old Lebanon man has been charged with criminal homicide after police found a deceased woman inside an apartment at the Hartmann Plantation Apartments.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, officers responded to the apartment complex Tuesday night following a report of a possible shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a deceased female inside an apartment. Investigators said the victim appeared to have suffered at least one gunshot wound.
As a result of the preliminary investigation, police arrested 57-year-old Jerry Mathews of Lebanon at the scene and charged him with criminal homicide.
Authorities said the investigation indicates the incident was an isolated domestic situation involving family members that resulted in a fatality.
The Lebanon Police Department said the case remains under active investigation and no additional details are being released at this time.
