Winter weather has caused local schools to close. Below is a list of local school closures.

Wilson County Schools
Message from WCS: Wilson County Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 6th.
This decision is based on an abundance of caution following the latest forecasts for snow and possible ice on Thursday.
Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate very quickly through the morning and persist into the afternoon. We want everyone to be safe, therefore we believe that using a “SNOW DAY” is the best course of action at this time.
Many of you have asked about the status of Friday, January 7th. At this point, we are going to evaluate the effects of tomorrow’s possible wintry weather and then make a decision.
Thursday, January 6th will be a districtwide closure, which means that Kids Club is closed as well as the district’s central office (ATC). All extracurricular activities are canceled as well.
Regardless of what happens tomorrow, the area is expecting very cold temperatures to follow, so please take any necessary precautions.
