1. Bright Night Out – Dan Smalley and Tigirlily

Bright Night Out provides outdoor entertainment with top-of-the line production. The venue offers food and beverage options from healthy snacks to tasty sliders. Make sure to bring lawn chairs or blankets to lounge and a clear bag if you must bring one. Enjoy live music from Dan Smalley, a country artist who draws inspiration from R&B and Tigirlily, whose recent country song hit #1 on the iTunes Country chart. Gates open at 5:00p.m. and the show starts at 7:00p.m.

2. The Rivergate Mall Carnival

Friday, August 27 – Monday, September 6
1000 Rivergate Pkway, Goodlettsville

This carnival, presented by Southwood Entertainment, will provide kid-friendly rides, carnival games, thrill rides, food vendors and more. Admission to the fair is $5 and a wristband for unlimited rides can be purchased for $25. The fair will run Monday-Thursday: 5:00p.m.-11:00p.m., Friday: 5:00p.m.-12:00a.m., and Saturday-Sunday 2:00p.m.-12:00a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the carnival.

3. Hendersonville Farmers & Artisan Market

Saturday, August 28, 8:30a.m. – 1:30p.m.

On the last Saturday of every month, there is a health and wellness celebration during the Hendersonville Farmers & Artisan Market. Live music, children’s entertainment, health vendors and local artisans will all be present. Go out and meet and support your local farmers and small business owners.

4. 11th Annual Chocolate Affair

Get dressed in your favorite Gatsby attire for an evening of fine dining. Audience of One Production will be performing The Best of the Roaring 20s and Wildberry Catering will be providing the food. Of course, there will be multiple chocolate fountains and a chance to participate in a silent and live auction. Proceeds from this event go towards the “Helping Children Heal” program provided by the Child Advocacy Center in Lebanon.

5. Storytime with Nashville Ballet

Join the Nashville Ballet as they fly away to Neverland and hear how Peter Pan and Tinkerbell escaped from Captain Hook and his evil ways. Familiar characters from the story will be present and visitors will also have the chance to meet some animal friends up close and personal. There will also be a special chance to learn some dance moves from Nashville Ballet dancers themselves, from their upcoming production of Peter Pan. Storytime admission is included with a zoo ticket and the show will be held in the zoo’s amphitheater. Make sure to stick around after the show for photo opportunities.
