Wilson County Schools is mourning the loss of longtime employee Holly Sciarpelletti, who died from injuries sustained in a recent tragic accident, district officials confirmed.
Sciarpelletti served as a special education one-on-one teaching assistant for many years, most recently working at Gladeville Middle School and Wilson Central High School. District leaders described her as a dedicated and valued member of the school community who was deeply loved by students and colleagues alike.
The tragedy has had a profound impact on the Sciarpelletti family. Her daughter, Katie, is a teacher at Gladeville Elementary School. Katie’s young son, Sciarpelletti’s grandson, was also involved in the accident and remains hospitalized, continuing to undergo medical treatment.
Wilson County Schools expressed its condolences to the family and asked the community to keep them in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
