Due to a continuous downward trend in COVID-19 cases, the Board of Education has approved a recommendation from Director of Schools, Mr. Jeff Luttrell that Wilson County School district’s mask/face covering status become OPTIONAL for all students and staff inside all school buildings. The BOE approved this recommendation with a 5-2 vote.
Prior to Wednesday night’s motion and voting, Wilson County Schools had a required mask/face covering status, with opt-out form availability. With Wednesday’s approval, no additional opt-out forms are required to be submitted via Skyward.
The optional mask/face covering status is effective immediately, and will be in place starting Thursday, November 4th.
