A Middle Tennessee bagel brand is expanding again, with Ugly Bagel set to open its third location in Mt. Juliet next month.
The Nashville-based company announced its newest location will officially open July 1 at Everette Downs, located at 1913 N. Mt. Juliet Road.
Founded by Middle Tennessee hospitality veterans Jeff Crabiel and Jake Strang, Ugly Bagel said the Mt. Juliet store marks the company’s third location in just 18 months, following openings in downtown Nashville and Cool Springs.
According to co-founder Jeff Crabiel, the expansion was influenced by community demand.
“I keep going back to our opening week in The Arcade Nashville,” said Jeff Crabiel, co-founder of Ugly Bagel. “I was talking with guests when a gentleman stopped and said, ‘Please come to Mt. Juliet.’ At the time, we were just trying to make it through week one. Opening a third store felt a long way off. Today, it becomes a reality.”
Company leaders said the flagship location at The Arcade Nashville helped establish the brand, while a second store in Cool Springs showed the concept could expand beyond downtown and connect with a broader Middle Tennessee audience. Mt. Juliet, described as a fast-growing community with a strong local identity, became the natural next step.
The Mt. Juliet location will feature the company’s hand-rolled bagels, cream cheese spreads, sandwiches, coffee, and monthly menu items. The new store will also introduce Mt. Juliet customers to Ugly Bagel Refreshers, including the Pink Dragon Lemonade and Brain Freeze beverages.
Ugly Bagel said the new location will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests will be able to order online or through in-store kiosks, with catering also available for offices, events, and special occasions.
