July 28, 2025 – What began as a reckless driving report ended in the arrest of two fugitives wanted for serious charges, including vehicular homicide. On Saturday, the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call about a vehicle driving erratically—despite having two flat tires—and running off the road.

Deputies responded swiftly, and during a neighborhood search, Deputy Mathis discovered the vehicle hidden and covered at a residence. With assistance from Deputy Woods and FTO/Cpl. Klawitter, a quick investigation revealed the driver had multiple active warrants tied to a fatal crash in Metro Nashville in April of this year.

Inside the home, deputies also found a female suspect wanted on the same vehicular homicide charges, along with local warrants out of Sumner County.

Officials thanked both deputies and community members for their vigilance. The sheriff’s office reminds the public: if you see something, say something—it can save lives.
