A traffic stop Tuesday evening on S. Mt. Juliet Road for an improper lane change led to the arrest of two wanted individuals and the recovery of stolen merchandise.

According to Mt. Juliet Police, the driver, a 20-year-old man from Springfield, was wanted out of Nashville for failure to appear on DUI and implied consent charges. His passenger, a 25-year-old Springfield woman, had multiple warrants, including one from Wilson County for failing to be booked on a prior shoplifting case at Target, a felony theft warrant out of Nashville, and another shoplifting warrant from Rutherford County.

Police say both individuals had just stolen Pokémon cards from Walmart and Academy Sports in Mt. Juliet and were on their way to sell them at a trading card store in Smyrna.
