The city’s main fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m. at Circle P Ranch. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., with live music, children’s activities, and food vendors starting at 5:30 p.m.

Mt. Juliet Police and Fire personnel will be stationed throughout the event, including roaming patrols and a security and first aid station in the parking lot of Cloyd’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 595 W. Division St.

Officials say some of the best viewing areas include Circle P Ranch, the church parking lot along Tate Lane, the train depot, and parking lots near Mt. Juliet Road and Division Street. Residents are encouraged to arrive early to secure a viewing spot.

To help with traffic after the fireworks, West Division Street will be closed from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. between Brookstone Boulevard and Mt. Juliet Road. Traffic leaving the area between East Main Street and Brookstone Boulevard will be directed west toward South Greenhill Road, while traffic exiting between Fourth Avenue and Mt. Juliet Road will be directed east toward Mt. Juliet Road.

A second Independence Day celebration, hosted by Needham’s Nursery and Landscaping, will also take place near Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, West Wilson Middle School, and Stoner Creek Elementary School. Activities begin at 7 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 9 p.m.

Police and fire personnel will also be on site at that event to assist with safety and traffic.
