Halloween is a time for candy, costumes, ghosts and creepy movies. Here are three events happening in Wilson County that will be sure to deliver Halloween fun.

October 22

11th Annual Halloween Chills and Thrills

Campground at Cedars of Lebanon State Park

Time: 5:00 p.m.

Cost: Non-campers $1 per person 

This is the 11th Annual “Chills and Thrills” in the Campground at Cedars of Lebanon State Park 2022. Campers decorate their sites and there is “Trick or Treat” from site to site, as well as hayrides, special guests, costume contests, food trucks, local vendors, games, and so much candy! Two free nights stay will be awarded to the winners of the “best-decorated sites” in each campground. All the festivities and trick-or-treating are open to the public and all ages! Non-campers will need to pay $1 per person. Tickets on sale closer to date. All activities and times are subject to change and are tentative.

The costume contest will take place in the Assembly Hall at 5:00 p.m., Trick or Treating in the campgrounds will go from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm., and there will be a Halloween movie at 8:00 p.m. on the stage next to the camp store, bring a chair.

Parking is limited in the campground and all non-camper guests will be directed. No parking in the campground.

Halloween in the Park

Time: 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Cost: Free

Lots of booths and free candy, food trucks, hay rides, inflatables, and a petting zoo.  And, of course, the annual Halloween costume contest.

The contest begins at 11:00 with pets, followed by age groups immediately after beginning with under one, one to two years, three years, four years, five years, six to seven, eight to nine, ten to twelve and themed groups last.

Phantom Paws and Historic Cause Paranormal Con

Event Information

Time: 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $10 cash only

Two paranormal teams have come together to host this event. There will be booths with information, merchandise and speakers. Come be a part of this fun day during a spooky month! Tickets are $10 per person in cash at the door. All the funds raised at this convention will go to two great causes, Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary and several historic haunted locations. So, if you love animals, history and the paranormal then this convention is for you!
