On Sunday around 5:40 p.m., Mt. Juliet officers quickly responded to a shoplifting incident at Walmart, where three individuals attempted to steal a large amount of Legos.
As they fled, one suspect assaulted a store employee, and all three suspects left in a vehicle.
Officers swiftly located the car as it fled towards I-40 West. With coordinated efforts, officers deployed spike strips, successfully disabling the vehicle near the 225-mile-marker.
One male suspect ran from the car but was quickly apprehended by an officer after a brief chase and struggle. It was later discovered that the suspect had outstanding warrants in Dickson County and Mississippi. Two female suspects were also taken into custody at the scene.
All three individuals are from Dickson County. No serious injuries were reported.
