The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) welcomes two airport industry veterans to its leadership team. Kristy Bork joins MNAA as Assistant Vice President of Finance and Shayleen Schutz joins MNAA as Director of Emergency Management.

Kristy Bork, Assistant Vice President, Finance
Kristy Bork will be responsible for managing the treasury and accounting functions at MNAA and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, MNAA board policy directives, and MNAA investment policies.
She brings nearly 10 years of airport finance and administration experience to this role. She previously served as the Assistant Director of Aviation, Finance and Administration for Springfield-Branson National Airport where she managed the airport business office staff, including overseeing the monthly billing process for airport tenants, and oversaw airport IT staff. Bork also worked for the City of Springfield, Missouri, as an Internal Auditor.
Bork earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Missouri State University. She is an Accredited Member (A.A.E.) of the American Association of Airport Executives and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Shayleen Schutz, Director of Emergency Management
Shayleen Schutz will oversee MNAA’s Emergency Operations Center, Joint Information Center, and Airport Communications Center.
Most recently, she served the City & County of San Francisco with San Francisco International Airport (SFO) Emergency Management and the San Francisco Covid Command Center. She was previously the Director of Emergency Preparedness for the Massachusetts Port Authority, which owns and operates three airports including Boston-Logan, container and cruise ship terminals, and commercial and residential holdings in the Seaport District.
Schutz began her career as a government contractor, conducting training and exercises for communities in more than 30 states and territories and for the United States Senate and The White House.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government & International Politics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she was a University Scholar.
