A Lebanon Police officer conducting a traffic stop for a fake temporary tag on Highway 109 uncovered a stolen gun, a stolen vehicle, and arrested a wanted man.

Officers say the driver, a 38-year-old man from Antioch, was pulled over after an officer noticed a fraudulent temporary tag showing an issue date more than a month in the future. The man was found to be driving without a license and had an active warrant out of Nashville.

A search of the silver Dodge pickup revealed a stolen handgun tied to a 2019 vehicle burglary in Smyrna. Investigators also determined the truck had been stolen two days earlier in Antioch.

The driver was taken into custody without incident and faces multiple charges.
