The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office has been updating residents all day, via social media, on current road conditions. Here’s the latest from their reporting:
- Hazardous road conditions across all of Wilson County.
- Sparta Pike, particularly Pruitte Hill and the 6000 block, is extremely slick, with multiple vehicles off the roadway. Wrecks have also been reported on Sparta Pike and Carthage Highway.
- Central Pike at Gailynn Marie Dr. – the roadway is completely blocked by a jackknifed tractor-trailer.
- If you must travel, slow down, increase following distance, and use extreme caution. Avoid unnecessary travel if possible.Here are some photos from WCSO showing road conditions.
